Business trip with international party of 45

Nice hotel in an interesting building, close to tourist attractions, bars and restaurants. It was great for our meeting with a group of approximately 45 participants, not in the least because of the helpful staff. Breakfast and lunch were not overly copious,; just simple food of good quality.

Stay at The Manor!

Remi and his team are amazing. Went out of their way to help and be accommodating! Helped with recommendations and made sure we got what we needed. Bar keep Gero and food at Numi is amazing. Cool neighborhood which is easily accessible to all that you need to see.

Awesome experience @ The Manor

Absolutely brilliant and would stay again. We stayed for four nights and upgraded to a superior room with a balcony - it was so worth it. We had a large room at the back of the building (so experienced no noise whatsoever) with a balcony overlooking a small green space. We spent a lot of time out there and would recommend upgrading. Room was spacious and clean. Great coffee machine. Fridge was handy and we went to a supermarket 5 mins walk away and stocked it for our stay (including milk as it isn’t provided - but they do give you fresh still and sparkling water every day!). Spacious walk in shower, bathroom itself a bit tight but it was still fine. Staff were lovely and friendly, stored our bags on arrival and departure, and gave us early AND late check out for no cost. We did visit the bar one night, and didn’t have a great experience, which is the only reason we didn’t visit that bar again. Seems like they had a private party in the restaurant, staff seemed super stressed and we felt like a bit of a hassle. They didn’t have any Sauvignon Blanc or cocktails. Then the staff disappeared and it took a while to find someone who we could pay. They were obviously too busy so we just went elsewhere - this is literally the only negative I have, and it’s not really related to the hotel. We travelled by train and metro around Amsterdam and to the city, it was super easy and we just used google maps. It’s one train stop (station about ten mins walk away) or a 15 mins tram ride. Anyway, great value for dosh and would return - just not to the bar.

Very disappointed for the expensive price

When you first walk into the hotel and your room, it all looks great. I thought I'd treat myself to a nice hotel, more expensive than I would normally choose....however when you settle in, that's when you notice things...the cleanliness wasn't so great, random peanuts under the bed and debris on the carpet not very good...ordered room service on the first night, burger was nearly cold, and salad which cost €5.50 was just lettuce and pepper! Couldn't eat it all, and when housekeeping came the next day, they didn't take the plates, so my room smelt of food going off! On my last night, I had to have an early night as I wouldn't get breakfast in the morning, I tried to order room service, I spent 45 minutes calling with no response, went down to reception only to be told restaurant was closed! This was around 1930 when it should've been open and was too late for me to go out for food! No offer of anything as a goidwill gesture by way of apology...not happy with this stay at all, especially with how expensive it was..... I was supposed to be staying here again in March but will change my booking to somewhere else...

Nice place

Lovely hotel in a quiet area. We walked to and from the centre a few times and were slightly regretting booking somewhere so far out, but then we figured out the tram system (with the help from the friendly receptionist) and it was so easy. Our twin room was nice enough. Slight niggles being that the bottom sheets on the beds were just folded over and placed on top of the mattress, meant we had to make the beds ourselves and tuck the sheets around the mattress. Also the coffee station just had creamer and no milk, fine for a coffee but not so much for a cup of tea. We would happily stay here again.
